It’s remarkable really, to take in all the vast areas of universal complexities The Flash has touched on throughout it’s run so far and a perfect example of the complicated conundrum is Tom Cavanagh’s character of Wells. I mention only the last name because in every season we have been exposed to a different iteration of the character going from Harry to Henry to H.R. and the first version wasn’t even the “real” Wells! The clarification is as confusing as it sounds but Cavanagh tries to specify how he contributes to the show in each season and how or rather, who he will be in the upcoming season 4.
We see the excitement in Cavanagh’s eyes as he attempts to describe the delicate and dynamic Wells, specifically how it’s a privilege to take on a character that can be portrayed in multiple personas. He teases that the season one form of the Reverse Flash is always in the back pocket but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Having already established the multi-verse and the Flashpoint paradox, and for good reason, we are exposed to the vast expansiveness of the show and how it truly can go to any place and any time. Cavanagh’s talent shines and we look forward to more foreshadowing coming from either a gloomy or glamorous Wells in the upcoming season.

Running up against an evil time remnant version of yourself is something no one should ever have to do, but that’s exactly what faced Barry Allen (a.k.a. the Flash) as he fought to save the life of fiancée Iris West from the God of Speed known as Savitar. Barry’s victory was short-lived, however, as an unbalanced Speed Force began to wreak havoc on Central City, forcing Barry to sacrifice himself for the greater good. With the Fastest Man Alive now trapped inside an extra-dimensional energy and unknown dangers lurking in the shadows, it will be up to Team Flash to free Barry from his own personal Hell.
