There is an immense amount of animation coming out of DC and Warner Brothers right now and I am grateful to have sat with two of the stars from the most recent animated rendition of the baddest team in the DC universe. Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay is stacked with a number of reputable voice actors with Krisitn Bauer van Strate and Liam McIntyre being two of them. They voice Killer Frost and Captain Boomerang who are fan favorites due to the live action versions of the characters in the CW programs but now we get to see them in animated action form! Getting to hear about a voice acting project allows these two to juxtapose the benefits of voice acting session compared to live action bits and also the love for the characters so let’s get started because these two really gave us the goods.
Killer Frost is a badass with a heart as cold as the iceberg that sank the titanic and van Strate expresses her love for voicing someone that has no cares about how others think of her which is quite the reverse for her in real life. Talking about it’s fun to not care and especially given the relaxed feeling of being able to work in your pajamas, van Strate and McIntyre both agree it is a nice change of pace every once in a while. McIntyre really showed his love for Captain Boomerang by citing multiple comic book references and even described his favorite type of villain. If a character can truly provide sound reasons to their actions and make you root for them, then you have a good villain according to McIntyre and I completely agree and such is the case with a bunch of anti-heroes. McIntyre also enjoys being the snark and despicable Captain because it is a role he rarely gets to play (aside from his villainous role on CW’s The Flash). I can’t wait to feast my eyes on this and it will undoubtedly be yet another to add to the collection of valuable DC & Warner Brother’s animated films so don’t miss out!
