In one of the most important prequels in all of superhero history we see how Krypton lays down the foundation of Superman and the Hous of El. While focusing on Superman’s grandfather Seyg El and his partner in crime Adam Strange, we are excited once again to talk to Shaun Sipos who plays Strange and give us insight into how events of the show are unfolding. Going into where the character and show itself stand along with how he was able to construct the character are just a few of the thing we talked about so lets dive on in.
Sipos says how Adam is trapped right now and could have possibly failed his mission but this will cause him to be tested and in turn conquer the challenge that faces him. Adam will tap into his true driving force, which is everyone else, something that Sipos describes as the makings of a hero, the consideration of others. This allows Sipos to explore the psyche of the character, especially in those moments where Adam isn’t completely sure of his choices and the decision he has made. Describing Adam Strange as the compilation of a few different characters we are delighted to see how far Sipos’ fandom goes listing characters such as Indiana Jones and Han Solo to Peter Quill Starlord.
After a mind-blowing season 1 finale that saw Krypton’s history drastically rewritten, the future of Superman has never been in greater jeopardy. Cast members Cameron Cuffe, Ann Ogbomo, Wallis Day, and Shaun Sipos, as well as creator and showrunner Cameron Welsh and DC’s Dan Evans discuss the many surprises of the first season and give an inside look into what fans can expect in season 2. I’m a full blown fanboy that is waist deep in everything from comic books, TV shows, movies, anime, and the lot. Growing up my Dad was extremely influential in providing the best of the best in terms of classic sources of entertainment which has undoubtedly shaped my interests to this day. While I definitely have more of an interest in Marvel I am not out of the loop when it comes to DC, Darkhorse, or Image comics as wells as each’s additional media content. I love the comic book culture and when I’m not geeking out I’m listening to or playing music and skateboarding around San Diego, which is way better than New Jersey.
