Scooby-Doo and the Gourmet Ghost

This year at San Diego Comic-Con, the Hanna-Barbera classic Scooby-Doo releases another movie called Scooby-Doo & The Gourmet Ghost on digital and DVD. To discuss the new movie with us were Grey Griffin, the voice of Daphne, Tim Sheridan, the writer, and Doug Murphy, the director. Griffin sat with us first and, after a delicious conversation about restaurants and home-cooking, claims she was excited to work with famous chefs from Food Network. She mentions the positive developments to her character Daphne, where she is not used as bait but stands up to for herself. Sheridan talks about his inspiration for writing the script; he is a huge fan of Food Network, so the chefs’ characters in the movie reflected to themselves. He talks about some behind the scenes moments where he works behind Wes Gleason, the voice director for the movie, as he directs the cast and chefs; he claims everybody did an amazing job. Murphy was the last to sit with us to give us details about developing the new movie. He admits being thankful to be working for Scooby-Doo once again, and as a director this time, as well as having an amazing partner, Wes Gleason, to be by his side during the project. Murphy reveals that during recording, the cast and crew have a great blend of having fun and working. Which, it is nice to hear that making a movie is not only work. These interviews were a great opportunity to get the perspectives from the voice actress, writer and director. We wish the new Scooby-Doo movie well after its release and we cannot wait for the next Scooby-Doo movie.
