Back to the Future (II)

fox2740backtofuture2_1_xMarty McFly (Michael J. Foxx) and “Doc” Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd) return for another time-traveling adventure. However, instead of going back in the past, the DeLorean takes them to the future: 2015. After the effects of the original Back to the Future, Doc returns to 1985 to enlist the help of Marty once more. As they enter into the world of flying cars and robots, Doc informs Marty that the future of his lineage and his grandchildren was at risk. However, in the process of saving the McFly family, 2015 Biff (Thomas F. Wilson) discovers the time-traveling DeLorean and devises a plan to change his life forever. As Doc and Marty return to the original time of 1985, after some explanations that he owed Jennifer (Elizabeth Shue) who had accidentally experienced a run-in with her 2015 self, the duo finds themselves in an altered reality of what they once knew. With Marty’s mother, Lorraine (Lea Thompson) married to Biff, who is now rich and famous, Marty and Doc suspect time-traveling foul play. After confronting Biff about the change, he reveals that the 2015 Biff had traveled through time to give 1985 Biff an Almanac from the 1950s. This then ensures Biff to make all the right decisions in order to become the rich powerhouse that he had begun. After a jump back to 1955 and a struggle over the infamous almanac, Marty successfully manages to burn the book, reversing the alternate reality that Biff had created. However, before Marty can escape back to his time in 1985, he finds himself once again stuck in 1955 after both Doc and the DeLorean disappear into time.

Following the success of the first film, Back to the Future II proves to be a worthy successor. With just as much time traveling fun, the film now gets a new chance to play with time in the future. Filled with holograms, funky fashion choices, a hoverboard, and some familiar faces, fans of the franchise will be thrilled for this second installment of their favorite time-traveling duo.

I’ve been going since 2007 consecutively, and have met celebrities ranging from Youtube content creators to Marvel actors on the silver screen.  Aside from the convention center and studio, bookstores and coffee shops are a second home to me. | Instagram @KCRTishTalk View My Articles
