Dumbo

dumbo60thanniversaryDumbo follows the story of a traveling circus, home to various performing animals of all walks of life. As the circus travels, Mrs. Jumbo- one of the performing elephants- gives birth to a baby boy. Due to his overly large ears, in comparison to the rest of his tiny body, the babe is dubbed as Dumbo by the other elephants around him. After being picked on by the other elephants, and soon tormented by local boys from the circus, Mrs.Jumbo goes into a protective rage in an effort to protect her son. But soon after, she is separated from Dumbo after being deemed dangerous to those around her. Now on his own, Dumbo finds himself alone until he befriends circus mouth, Timothy Q. Mouse (Edward Brophy), who takes on the role of both mentor and protector. After a series of events created by Timothy, Dumbo is now a reluctant star of the circus- one who still grapples with his lack of happiness without his mother. In an effort to cheer up Dumbo, and an accidental mix-up of bubbly soap and champagne, the unlikely pair find themselves in a strange circumstance where Dumbo learns to fly. With this remarkable new talent, Dumbo not only learns to fly with confidence, but with a new purpose in life as he becomes the star of the circus and is reunited with his mother,

Dumbo is a classic Disney film that teaches the story of self-confidence and inner strength. As the young elephant faces bullying time and time again, Dumbo teaches audiences that strength and friendship can come from the most unlikely of places. With the revival of Dumbo coming to screens March 29, 2019, the story of the famous big eared elephant will be orchestrated by Tim Burton, and will star Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Eva Green, and Alan Arkin.
