Gotham | Mid Season Review by Preston Fusci

5763ae34e58a20c0e460fb3d77d97a97Gotham is a show surrounding the characters James Gordon and Bruce Wayne from the DC universe.

In the season four midseason finale, Nygma is haunted by his alternate persona “Riddler” while Tabitha kidnaps Grundy and forcefully tries to get him to remember her. Right as Tabitha gives up, Grundy wakes up with higher speech capabilities and memories of his past life as Butch Gilzean.

Bruce Wayne refuses to go on vacation because of some new friends he made, so Alfred challenges him to hand-to-hand combat. Angry from the altercation, Bruce fires Alfred and forces him to resign as his legal guardian.

Pyg and Sofia conspire to assassinate Sofia’s father Carmine and blame Cobblepot for the crime. After they succeed, Sofia tricks Gordon into arresting Cobblepot for Martin Carmine’s murder. Sofia then double-crosses Pyg and kills him, revealing her plan was to never take over Gotham but to make Gordon feel guilty over killing her brother Mario.

Cobblepot is taken to Arkham Asylum, where he meets Jerome Valeska.
